PDCA cycle: a continuous improvement process

Success is not a constant that persists once it has been achieved. Rather, it requires constant changes, adjustments and optimizations to be successful in the long term.

Unfortunately, many prefer to stick to the phrases Never change a running system or If it ain't broke, dont fix it. In other words, things are just left as they are - as long as there are no major problems.

The PDCA cycle, on the other hand, ensures an ongoing process of improvement and can be used in different areas. It helps to analyze situations, to identify potentials and to derive actions and possibilities for optimization. You can see this in the example MASTER LEAN Board – PDCA Zyklus am Beispiel OEE
